An incessant requirement for failure draws the greatest of men (and women) to disregard their greatest possibilities of achievement. The fear of fear is greater than the actual fear. Put more simply the avoidance of pain by an athlete curtails their possibilities of greatness because of their self limitations setup by their fear of the pain instead of the act of actually dealing with it. The facade created through the protection from pain makes a more convoluted protocol list of actions and reactions that in turn limits any of us from completing the intended accomplishment. It is difficult to overcome because the limits we have setup (better known as our "comfort zone") is like our la-Z-boy of life. Our great armchair of protection is the limit to our own gratification!
To no one but myself I must say that in burning my recliner I will be forcibly required to stand for something as there will be no longer anywhere left to sit!
